Challenge #51- Fife

This week's Diva zentangle challenge is to play with the new tangle pattern....Fife. It was fun to play with the different variations. You can tell that Christmas is in the air.

Now that my Schneeglobbin is finished I'm hoping that I can start next week's challenge much earlier in the week.

Until next week...

Challenge #50! "Biggify"

Laura Harms, aka Diva, has challenged us to create a zentangle using an enlarged version of tangles but using the same size paper/tiles that we usually use. I had fun with this, especially since I have been playing with a bigger surface to tangle in my "spare" time. I chose to tangle with Sandra Straights' Crossroads & Caterpillar, and Sandy Bartholomew's Unagi &Gyro. Oh yeah.

Today I played a little with my iPad and the photogene app. Check this out

To this: Pretty wild, eh?

A Red Thread Runs Through It

A marathon zentangle day for me. I'm trying to design a ZIA snowman for our local art gallery and am getting close to what I want. For a nice break I created two tiles....last week's challenge and this week's challenge. Here is the newest......

I used Fans, Beadlines, Mooka, Raindotty, Tearce, Tortuca, Hatchpatch, and Japonica for this Red Thread Challenge.

Here's a preview of my snowmen.........

Square, circle, triangle challenge

This is just a quick entry to put in my challenge piece from last week. Yes, of course I have been busy.....but that's no excuse. Here is my tile consisting of a square, triangle and circle, using Arrowhead, Spinners, Cornerbox (aka Flukes), Beelight, and Furr Balls!

That was fun!

#47 plus 11.11.11 plus playing with wool

What a week! I taught a Zentangle class on Wed eve and finally got down to business tangling tiles on Friday, 11.11.11, one at 11:11 am and the other 11:11 pm. It was also my Mother-law's birthday so I gave her the first tile:

After we got back from going out to her birthday dinner, I created a tile which I thought of those who have fought for our freedom, Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas (the lovely folks who have created Zentangle who have just lost a dear family member, Rick's mom), and Laura Harms who created the site of weekly zentangle challenges:

Today I taught a needle felting class at Fletcher Farm School and here are some of the results:

A fun time was had by all.

Challenge #46 Halloween redux

I thought that I was done with Halloween. It's not one of my favorite holidays and I was happy it was over. But noooooooo, it came back with Laura Harms' challenge this week. Thanks Laura. Reliving Halloween, I decided to go with our snowy weekend before the dreaded day. Lots of snow in the northeast, although we only got about 6" here. I even got dressed up a little for a Halloween ski at Viking Touring Center on Sunday. That's me in the front.

The weather, skiing, and company was great. Good to get out on skis!

Now, on to the ZIA of Hallow's Eve.

Boooooo!
