This week's challenge is to create a tile using two specific tangle patterns: Fengle and Quandry.
I have always liked Fengle, but seem to be in a quandary about Quandry. I don't know what it is, but trying to line up the little triangles seems to be beyond me most of the time. As I was playing around with it last night I decided to start with lines and then, BAM!, it worked. Phew.
So, here's what I came up with:
I'm trying to loosen up my drawings a bit. It's not easy, but I think it's working....small steps.
Oh, I didn't think about doing that way! Thanks, and a nice tile!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! Very imaginative idea to use Quandary like this way! I like your variations of Fengle, too!
ReplyDeleteNicely done and thanks for the tip! I also have trouble keeping them lined up. I'm going to try this!
ReplyDeleteVery nice, I like the Fengle with the black pearls.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Chrissie about the black pearls in the Fengle. Looks great. It helps me to keep the rice kernels straight by turning the tile and drawing mirror images. Yours is another way and it adds another variation.
ReplyDeleteThanks folks, for the nice comments. The Fengle with black pearls is my favorite as well.
ReplyDeleteI do like your Quandry this way! You made a nice tile.
ReplyDeleteThis is very pretty! I too need to loosen up some of my work. I get so hung up on grid tangles and forget those nice flowing ones.
