Challenge #45 Introducing Punzel!

I like Punzel. It's so easy to throw in some variations. I did have fun with this, yet placing it in just the right spot proved to be a bit more challenging for me. Here's my practice page:



As you can see, I just didn't know how to showcase it. Here's the tile I ended up with:



I think it works best as a border. Fun, fun, fun.

I also gave scanning right on to the SD card then transferring it onto my iPad. I like it that I can now crop within the Photo. Yay!

FYI, it's snowing and they're calling for 6-12 inches!

Tangles within a Tangle Challenge

Hmmmmm, which tangle to use as the base tangle? I don't know about you guys, but it takes me a few days of mulling the challenge in my head before I get a pen to paper. I guess it's because I have a lot going on in my life. There's not enough time to really sit and ponder. Or perhaps its because if I get it over on Monday or Tuesday, then what will I do the rest of the week? (Uh-oh, I think I'm on to something.) Later in the week I tell myself to think hard and get going. Finally I get to pick up the pen and start. I chose Ogel, then added some fillers: Polka Dots, Yin Yang-type circles. Spirals, and lines of sorts.

Challenge #43 Sunflower Fund

Laura Harms' challenge this week was brought to us by Pennyb from South Africa. Very cool. As she states: In Republic of South Africa, on 12 October we have Bandana Day, which is run by the Sunflower Fund. This is an organization founded in 1999 in support of the SA Bone Marrow Registry for people suffering from leukemia.

The Sunflower is the logo and we were challenged to tangle a sunflower.

Hope. Challenge #42

Hope. This week's challenge from Laura Harms was making me think. I wasn't sure how to go about this one, but settled for simplicity. While making it I was thinking of those people with cancer in their lives (themselves or loved ones). Good healing thoughts went with every stroke of the pen.



The tile was one that I added watercolor to a while back which was close by. I needed something easy to get to since my back went out today while working on cutting my garden down. I guess I was also hoping that my back would get back together soon. Yup, lots of hope.

This tile is dedicated to friend and co-worker, Karen who is battling cancer now.
